General Experience
I am an Advanced Professional member of the Society of Indexers with over 15 years’ experience of indexing – working with publishers, authors, self-publishers and packagers to deliver high-quality, objective and user-friendly back-of-the-book and periodical indexes, using specialist indexing software, both as standalone and embedded indexes. Having also worked as an information professional in social sciences and health information libraries for many years, both in the academic and charity sectors, my entire career has been spent helping people find information.
Although I am available to index most subjects aimed at a general readership, I specialise in indexing material in and about French and Spanish. I have a degree in French and Spanish and my recent commissions have included translating French indexes into English and vice versa, preparing indexes in English and French for a bilingual translation text, producing an index in French for a secondary education text book and the production of indexes in Spanish for Spanish language books aimed at a higher education readership.
I am available throughout the year and have never missed a deadline.
