General Experience

I have been indexing professionally for over five years, specialising in literary studies, cultural studies, theology, religious studies and the social sciences. I am a member of the Society of Indexers Training Course Committee, SI representative to the British Standards Institute (BSI) and Minutes Secretary to the Executive Board.

I am a graduate in English and Cultural Studies (BA Hons, first class), and Information Analysis (MSc with distinction). I have worked as a technical author in the energy industry, authoring and editing updates to management system documentation. I have also worked as a research assistant at the Robert Gordon University, specialising in information literacy and health information quality factors. Prior to that I trained as a librarian and had several information-based and administrative roles.
