General Experience

I have over 20 years’ experience of back-of-the-book indexing, including textbooks and museum publications.  Following a degree in Latin and Greek at Bristol University, I studied for a PGCE and then a Diploma in Women’s Studies.  My career has been varied, including the Inland Revenue and private accountancy firms.  Having discovered the Society of Indexers’ distance learning course, I qualified in 1994 and then followed it up with the Book Indexing by Post course.
