Indexing since 1994 on a wide range of subjects in the arts/humanities area, with art as my main subject in recent years. I have a working knowledge of French and German.

Twenty years’ experience indexing books in this area for Yale University Press, Lund Humphries and Scala Arts & Heritage among others.

I have indexed books on artists such as Rodin, Matisse, Maggie Hambling, Giacometti and Roubiliac.


Experience indexing books on architects from different periods and on individual buildings such as Apethorpe, Durham Cathedral, Ham House, Hardwick Hall, Lichfield Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

Diaries And Letters

Some experience in this area, the correspondence of Kenneth Clark and Bernard Berenson for Yale and the diary of Mary Watts for Lund Humphries. I have also indexed two volumes for the Walpole Society of primary source materials, the letters of Charles Fairfax Murray and the travel journals of Maria Callcott.
