Caroline Howson, BA (Hons)
Membership Grade: Professional Member
Following a degree in Modern Studies (Sociology, French, History and English) I initially worked in publishing for several years. After working as a volunteer tutor in adult education, I have worked for the last twelve years in further and higher education, supporting students with additional needs. In addition to indexing I currently work with the Prince’s Trust Team Programme and have an interest in travel, history, literature, canoeing and walking. I am available all year round and happy to consider taking on work at short notice.
I have over twelve years experience in the FE & HE sector, working with students with additional needs. I have experience of supporting students with dyslexia, behavioural issues and those on the autistic spectrum. In addition, I have worked as a volunteer tutor for English and Maths in Adult Education and have served as a Parent Governor in Primary and Middle Schools.
I studied History to degree level. I have recently indexed OCR Ancient History GCSE Component 2 Rome (Fowler, Grocock, & Melville) & The French Revolution and Napoleon (Hunt & Censer)
A love of travel and learning languages has led to an interest and knowledge of many countries with a particular interest in SE Asia, the USA and Europe.
