DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nFor National Indexing Day 2026\, the Society of Inde
 xers is offering an in-person workshop for publishing professionals who wo
 uld like to improve their understanding of the indexing process. It will b
 e held at the Publishers Association in London. The workshop will run twic
 e\, starting at 10:30 in the morning and repeating at 14:00 in the afterno
 on. You only need to book a ticket for one of the sessions.\n\nA series of
  presentations by professional indexers will cover the value of human inde
 xes\, how they make knowledge accessible\, index usabilty\, and the softwa
 re/technology options available. There will also be an interactive practic
 al session for participants to try live indexing and time for questions an
 d discussion. The detailed programme is available here\n\nThe workshop pr
 ovides a useful opportunity for indexers and publishers to learn from each
  other so that together we can create better indexes and make non-fiction 
 books more valuable and saleable.\n\nPlaces are strictly limited and booki
 ng will close on 24th March.
