SUMMARY:National Indexing Day 2025 Publishers' Workshop
DESCRIPTION:For National Indexing Day 2025\, the Society of Indexers is off
 ering an in-person workshop for publishing professionals who would like to
  improve their understanding of the indexing process. It will be held at t
 he Publishers Association in London. The workshop will run twice\, startin
 g at 10:30 in the morning and repeating at 14:00 in the afternoon. You onl
 y need to book a ticket for one of the sessions.\n\nFollowing a welcome fr
 om our new honorary president\, Caroline Sanderson\, a series of presentat
 ions by professional indexers will cover the value of human indexes\, how 
 best to work with an indexer and the advantages of indexing software used 
 by indexers. There will also be an interactive practical session for parti
 cipants to try live indexing and time for questions and discussion. Please

 unity for indexers and publishers to learn from each other so that togethe
 r we can create better indexes and make non-fiction books more valuable an
 d saleable.\n\nPlaces are strictly limited and booking will close on 20th 
 March.
